A little honesty on the President’s proposed tax increases… The proposed tax reform refers to raising taxes by $1.5 trillion on “millionaires and billionaires”. Bullfeathers. The details are clear… The foundations of the proposal are to end to the Bush tax cuts on taxpayers earning more than $200,000-$250,000 per year (which, allegedly, raises $800 billion over 10 years), while placing limitations on itemized deductions and exclusions on this same group (which, allegedly, raises $400 billion). This is the country’s small business community. The same community which Kauffman Foundation Research showed was the only true engine of job growth in the U.S. since the early 1990’s.
Even Sen. Schumer is backing away from this one. You’ll also notice the cricket chirping noises coming from Sens. Carper & Coons on this.
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over while expecting a different result. For a smart guy, the President sure has some stupid advisors.
