When the city of Dover agreed to buy all of the electricity that this facility produced, they refused to tell the public how much they were paying for the power.
Even now that the boondoggle is built, the city still refuses to reveal how much money is being wasted on this. This is an outrage! One might be curious if there is something funny going on. Maybe something similar to the french fry machine scandal.
I guess it does not really matter, the residents have no choice but to pay whatever outrageous price the city decides to charge them. The last time that I looked they were already paying 30% more than their rural Kent County neighbors who get to buy from the CoOp.
