Heard this from the man himself on Monday but have keep it under wraps. The cat is out of the bag – Beth Miller writes in today’s Dialogue Delaware:
House Minority Leader Greg Lavelle, R-Sharpley, says he is considering a run to be vice chairman of the Republican State Committee.
Lavelle, managing director of Puglisi & Associates, said he believes such a move could strengthen the relationship between the “causes in Dover” and the state party.
Delegates to the GOP’s annual convention will elect party officers when they meet April 29-30 at Dover Downs.
In the running for the GOP chairman’s job are Mike Protack of Hockessin and John Sigler of Dover. A previous chairman candidate, Donald Ayotte of Georgetown, bowed out of that race and decided to run for vice chair instead.
Lavelle is a graduate of the University of Delaware and has a master’s in government administration from the University of Pennsylvania. He has represented the 11th District in Brandywine Hundred since 2000.
This is a good thing for the Delaware GOP. Do it Greg!
