Yesterday, the Caesar Rodney Institute released a one page report showing that Delaware’s private sector employment has shrunk over the last few years by over 4% while the public sector has grown by almost 2%. The report can be found below. Today, the WSJ reports that
[N]early twice as many people work for government (22.5 million) than in all of manufacturing (11.5 million). This is an almost exact reversal of the situation in 1960, when there were 15 million workers in manufacturing and 8.7 million collecting a paycheck from the government.
Gee, 1960’s… That was the start of the “Great Society” wasn’t it? The bluest of blue programs. Liberalism/progressivism at its best. And Delaware is a deep blue state, too.
