Progressives can sleep well in Delaware — in their tents. Delaware’s lone Congressman has made a name for himself in Washington by voting against most of the job creation packages presented to the House of Representatives and supported by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. The Congressman’s grade (from 0 to 100) on 16 pro-small business bills is a woeful 32. This compares to Harry Reid in the Senate with a grade of 36 and Steny Hoyer with a 40.
Yes, that’s right, the leftwing leader of the Senate and the House Minority Whip have stronger pro-job voting records than John Carney. Rep. Carney has placed himself in the bottom 1/3rd of votes for jobs.
So, the reason that Progressives will be sleeping in tents is that with Rep. Carney’s help, there will be no jobs. With no jobs comes no money (or tax receipts). With no money, no one will be able to afford housing — hence… tents.
Spencer Plaza, baby!
Isn’t the State of Delaware the largest employer in Delaware? As pathetic as that is, there’s jobs to be had- state jobs. Coming next, more jobs, with a casino on every corner. Later, prostitution, or, a woman’s ‘right to choose.’ After all, it’s her body.
