Carper, Coons and (in today’s NJ) now Carney have been making the case that Delaware is the only state in the US without a “National Park”. Has anyone else wondered if this is true?
I know that we don’t have one, but are we really the only one?
I took a quick look at the National Parks Service website and did some Google searching. I found that 23 states don’t have a national park.
If I am mistaken, please correct me; if not, perhaps someone could correct them.
Maybe they mean that the other states have some kind of national historic site or something like that. If that is the problem, lets give them the Hale Burns house or something in New Castle, declare victory, end their jealous tantrum, and move on to some useful expenditure of time. For example, I heard that there is something going on in the Middle East and North Africa that might affect my wallet. This park nonsense is like some barfly screaming for more peanuts while the tavern’s on fire. I only hope that people in other states are not seeing this detachment from reality. Thankfully, none of them are in big demand for the Sunday shows.
Is Delaware the only state without a national park?

My take on the establishment of a Delaware National Park as published in American Thinker. Yes, you’re right. Delaware is not the only state without a National Park.

I read your American Thinker piece. Very good article!
