Elliot Jacobson was the Insurance Commissioners ever-present sidekick during the campaign. Seems that he is being sent packing without actually being sent packing.
Dear Honorable Members of the Senate and House of Representatives:
I am writing to inform you of a change in the staffing of my office. Yesterday, I announced the removal of Mr. Elliott Jacobson as Chief of Staff of the Department of Insurance and relieved him of all authority he held in that capacity. Mr. Michael Gould will assume this authority as acting Chief of Staff. Mr. Gould is an accomplished lawyer, a very capable administrator and brings strong people skills to this position. Mr. Jacobson will assume new duties in an advisory capacity. Mr. Jacobson has provided me with valuable counsel in the past and I will continue to avail myself of his services. His new role will not require any contact with members of the General Assembly. Please contact Deputy Commissioner Gene Reed or Mr. Gould about any existing or new matters pending before the General Assembly.
I look forward to forging a stronger bond with the General Assembly and serving the people of Delaware.

Gould composed that letter for her. She’s incapable of putting a clear sentence on paper, let alone an entire letter.
Without Jacobson Stewart would not have been elected. With her room temperature IQ and without Jacobson she would have been removed from office long ago. He covered for her in every respect, writing for her, talking with the legislators to explain her stupidity away, being the middleman for her in everything. Gould probably got a better deal so she can keep more of the illicit money she’s been collecting.
Strange there’s only one comment on this. Stewart is the most corrupt and incompetent commissioner Delaware ever had. She takes bribes from insurance companies so they can do anything they want. She takes kickbacks from the cronies she hired as consultants. In two years in office she already collected untold millions. Never in the office, out shopping or traveling instead. Walks over dead bodies, backstabs unsuspecting people to advance her agenda. What a ruthless miserable sociopath to have in such an important state office. And she’ll smile in your face the whole time. All the corrupt Democrat powermongers protect her because she’s sharing her illicit money with them. No wonder Delaware is such a morass of pigs feeding at the public trough. Stewart’s the worst of them. Disgusting.
Just came across this. Better late than never. Stewart is a joke. High school dropout, fake resume. 90% of what’s in her “Meet Karen” bio on the DOI website is lies. Every Delaware commissioner before her was a lawyer and she didn’t even graduate from high school???? A true WTF situation. Just goes to show you it’s not what you know but who you know. Being tight with Biden Sr and Biden Jr doesn’t hurt either.
“She is a member of the Supervisory College of Berkshire Hathaway and Swiss RE”. Quote from her DOI bio. Those are NAIC committees. Nice wording by Jacobson to imply she sits on the boards of these companies. Hardly. They have her number. She’s really almost illiterate, only got into the NAIC before she was elected because she lied about owning an insurance consulting company. She opens her mouth, she lies. So does Jacobson.
She never demoted Jacobson. He’s still the chief of staff and always was. . Anyone in the dept knows that. it was just PR to get the spotlight off herself. can’t believe a thing she says.
