Liberals have had their 2 years in the sun — a setting sun, but it’s been all theirs. I’ve said this before, and I’ll say it again, the United States is a center-right nation. By stomping on legislative rules, by driving a larger partisan divide, by “never letting a crisis go to waste”; however, liberals have sown the seeds of their own destruction. I guess if you really believe in “wealth redistribution”, then committing political seppuku for those beliefs is honorable in a way. But, by creating such a divide and awakening the conservative plurality in the country, all of the “great achievements” will be unwound.
Many of my fiscal conservative compatriots have been worried about the healthcare bill, and I tell them “Don’t worry, it will never be funded. The United States is like the guy who just got a call from his banker. The banker told him that he was out of money, to which the guy replied, ‘What do you mean I’m out of money? I’ve still got checks.” The credit markets will rescind our checks, and we’ll have a second large recession. But, we will get our spending and our country back to where it needs to be. Where entrepreneurs and small businesses will grow the economy and jobs, and the rest of the world will hate us for our success.
We are, according to Gallup (the actual poll can be found here), a Center-Right nation. That is why I’m an optimist about our future, and why the radical left is so angry.
Actually this chart makes it look like we have gone from a Center-Right Nation to a Right of Center Nation.
