Aren’t they supposed to be working at 2:30?
arthur,
Did you know many State employees don’t get weekends off until later in their career, or not at all? Many have a common schedule with Tuesday/Wednesday off or many other combinations of days off that make for a 40-hour work week. Also, many of them work what is called a 24-hour operations schedule. That means they work 1200-0800, 0800-1600 or 1600-1200.
So with the rally being from 1430 until about 1900, people from all shifts will be able to attend before or after they go to work.
There is another option too. People that work for the State can even take vacation time to attend this event, if their supervisor allows.
arthur, your response was very well though out.
